Student Graduates After More Than 47 Years

Ron Austin’s UC Davis degree—earned 47 years after his first class—shows what’s possible with the right support. His story is helping inspire a regional “Comebacker Campaign,” part of the K–16 Regional Education Collaborative grant that includes UC Davis. Through this effort, partners across the region are building clearer, more connected pathways for returning students of all ages to complete their education and advance their careers.

César Chávez Youth Leadership Conference Returns to UC Davis for 10th Year

On a single Saturday each spring, the UC Davis campus transforms into a vibrant hub of hope and opportunity as hundreds of students, families and educators gather for the César Chávez Youth Leadership Conference. This May, the event marks its 10th year of being hosted at UC Davis and its 23rd year serving students throughout the state. 

"Together We Heal" Juneteenth 2023

On Sunday, June 4, UC Davis hosted the community for an early celebration of Juneteenth. DEI's Aggie Black Excellence project presented one segment of the full day program, which featured healing, tributes to veterans and youth performance.
