Celebrate the Principles of Community with UC Davis!

The 2026 Principles of Community Celebration recognizes the people and partnerships that bring our values to life across UC Davis.

The celebration will feature recognition of the Soaring to New Heights and ASUCD awards honorees, stories from faculty, staff and students, showcases highlighting community-engaged research and partnerships, and opportunities to connect with colleagues and community partners.

We honor our collective decision to be part of this community, and we celebrate the ongoing work of making UC Davis a place people want to be.

Read the Principles of Community

“Each of us has an obligation to the UC Davis community of which we have chosen to be a part.” —Principles of Community

Help us Bring the Principles of Community to Life!

The Principles of Community belong to everyone at UC Davis. To help you celebrate, share, and live these values in your own spaces, we’ve created a gallery of materials—including posters, digital backgrounds, and the iconic Dynamo spiral. These visuals are designed to help units, teams, and individuals highlight the Principles in presentations, gatherings, and everyday communications. We especially encourage people to add posters, banners, A-frames and other items to their physical spaces.

Materials are free to download and customize. you can also request customized versions to fit your unit’s needs.
