• Sept. 25 — California Native American Day at the State Capitol: California Native American Day is an annual observance celebrating the cultures, histories, contributions and enduring presence of California’s Native peoples and Tribal Nations. UC Davis Native Affairs, The Nest and UC Davis students will be participating and tabling at the California Native American Day celebration at the State Capitol. • Sept. 30 — Orange Shirt Day / Boarding School Awareness:  Orange Shirt Day is an annual day of remembrance and awareness that recognizes the experiences of Indigenous children who were forced to attend residential and boarding schools and honors survivors, their families and communities. UC Davis Native Affairs, The Nest and UC Davis Students will be planning activities and awareness-building opportunities around this observance, with additional details to come. 

• Oct. 12 — Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors the histories, cultures, contributions and resilience of Indigenous peoples and communities. UC Davis Native Affairs, The Nest, UC Davis students
