Why I DEI: Dr. Carolee Tran

As a Vietnamese refugee and a survivor of sexual abuse, Dr. Carolee Tran is passionate about helping and empowering survivors of various traumas to heal, speak their truths and live deeply meaningful and authentic lives.

New Hate-Free Together Website Launched

The collaborative efforts of UC Davis, the UC Davis Chancellor's Office, the City of Davis, Yolo County, Davis Joint Unified School District and the Yolo County Office of Education have resulted in the launch of a new Hate-Free Together website: www.hatefreetogether.org.

This website will house resources, a calendar, information and more related to the joint effort of Hate-Free Together. 

It will include:

During February 12–16, the UC Davis campuses in Davis and Sacramento celebrated Principles of Community Week — a time spent reflecting on the shared aspiration to advance respect, equity, learning and community. The Principles team was delighted to highlight Dr. Jann Murray-García of UC Davis Health during this year's celebration. Murray-García’s inspirational career embodies the principles and its core values.

CAMPOS scholar Cindy Rubio González named Chancellor's Fellow

Congratulations to Cindy Rubio González, 2014-15 CAMPOS scholar and associate professor in the department of computer science in the UC Davis College of Engineering, for being one of only nine faculty to be named a 2024 Chancellor's Fellows — a title given to early career academics doing exemplary work.

In Support of Our Jewish Community 2022-23 In Review

Antisemitism is a persistent and evolving form of hatred that affects Jewish communities worldwide — and it is not absent from university campuses, including UC Davis. Acknowledging this reality is essential to addressing it.
